Last weekend, I was in central Illinois to visit some family and while I was there I just had to do some geocaching. This is my favorite part of caching is exploring new and different places. It gives me a motivating reason to get outside and go places in a new area.
This is my video log from a cache find in Champaign, Illinois. The first part of the video is my flight into Champaign-Urbana. You can see the University of Illinois Assembly Hall in the distance. It's the little white spot in the video.
The cache has a 1 difficulty rating and a 1.5 terrain rating. The cache was in a beautiful park in Champaign named Morrissey Park on Windsor Road. My brother, Tom and I were out caching to waste some time and I thought it would be a great opportunity to take a video log with my Flip. We took a little walk from our parking spot in the back of the park and climbed a small hill to get to the other side of the park. Once we got within 500 feet or so, we could pretty well decipher the final location of the cache. Once there, it was an easy find and sign. It did have a geocoin in it that I was very tempted to take back to Florida, but opted for a "discovered", instead.
